Living in Meadow Glade

Meadow Glad is a Census Designated Place that sits alongside Battle Ground to the northeast and Brush Prairie to the southeast and only fourteen miles northeast from downtown Vancouver. Residents of Meadow Glade enjoy living in a rural area while having access to the conviences of the larger cities. There are plenty of casual restaurants, coffee shops and shopping. Battle Ground Village hosts the Battle Ground Farmers Market from July through September. There are several parks and fields that host both youth and adult sports leagues. Home to three wineries for the adults to enjoy as well as a tasting room. Quick, convenient access to I-5 makes getting to nearby communities and larger cities easy. 

Outdoor recreation opportunities can be found at nearby parks such as Hockinson Meadows Community Park, which offers Disc Golf, a Dog Park, playground equipment and sports fields for soccer and baseball. There is also the Chelatchie Prairie Rail with Trail Project that still has more plans in the works but currently has a 33 mile trail that runs parallel to the county owned Chelatchie Prairie Railroad. Other nearby parks offering recreation and enjoyment of the outdoors are also readily available to residents and visitors as well. 

Battle Ground also has an abundance of outdoor recreation close by to satisfy everyone's interest. Mt. St. Helen is ideal for hiking and climbing enthusiasts, not to mention the stunning scenery. Ape Caves offer 2.5 miles of mineral formations and includes a lava fall and forested trails surrounding the caves. Lewisville Park is a great place for family gatherings offering hiking, recreational areas and picnic areas. Cedars Golf Course for the golf lover. Battle Ground Lake for kayaking, paddle boarding and fishing. There is definitely something for everyone in this area.
