More on Lake GroveLake Grove Homes for Sale

Lake Grove is a luxury community in Lake Oswego Oregon just north of the lake and south of Boones Ferry Road stretching from the Cook community to Upland and the Country Club North Shore area.

Originally platted in 1912 as a development on the western end of Oswego Lake, it developed as a residential community for several years until 1959 when a vote by the residents of Oswego and Lake Grove resulted in the establishment of the city of Lake Oswego as a whole. The area developed and some commercial and residential development continued along Boones Ferry Road and this road remains the main road of the Lake Grove area, reinforced by its central role in the Lake Grove Village Center. The Lake Grove Neighborhood Association manages most homes and residential properties in Lake Grove and it also has its own fire district, water district, and post office, often giving Lake Grove the feeling of being a separate town from Lake Oswego.

Lake Grove Schools

Lake Grove is still part of the Lake Oswego school system and students attend the Lake Grove Elementary located within the community, the Lake Oswego middle school, and the Lake Oswego high school. The junior high and senior high school are no more than about a mile away from most homes and residential properties in Lake Grove and receive excellent scores and ratings by great schools.org and niche.com. The Lake Grove elementary and the Upland elementary school both serve different parts of Lake Grove depending on the address.

"Currently a High School student, one year from graduation. I have had both joyous and nostalgic feelings about Lake Grove Elementary from the days of being a student. But one thing I can say honestly is that the school staff is absolutely kind, caring, and amazing. The two aspects I'll never forget about going to this school is the colorful, diverse, and eccentric group of teachers who've always connected with me, and the rudimentary teachings I obtained from the school that have supported me through most of my life." - GreatSchools.org
