About North Shore Country Club

North Shore Country ClubThe North Shore Country Club is located north of Oswego Lake in Lake Oswego Oregon. It's bordered by the lake itself, 10th St. on the east, Ridgecrest Drive on the west, and Country Club Road to the north. While the actual country club is located north of iron Mountain Boulevard, just about anything from the lake to the north end of the golf course is considered part of the Oswego Lake country club and North Shore Country club area.

The majority of the country club landscape is covered by the golf course. Most of the homes sit along the shoreline and just southeast of the golf course itself. Homes range from about $950,000 to over $10 million. Luxury Estates, mansions, and high-end luxury homes all grace this part of Lake Oswego.

Oswego Lake Country Club (OLCC)

This country club located within the North Shore area has been around since 1924 with beautiful oak trees, fir, and maple providing golfers with a paradise and a par 71 golf course. The Audubon Society has recognized this country club with the award for responsible stewardship.

The course and club have real grass practice grounds at the driving range, target greens, practice bunkers, and a short game practice area. US amateur champion Chandler Egan designed the original golf course and has played a vital part in reworking the links at Pebble Beach all the way back in 1922. This Lake Oswego Club Membership is an important part of maintaining the quality of play. It boasts a large staff paramount in assisting the maintenance and workings of the country club as a whole. Social membership allows members to use club dining facilities, the relaxing swimming pool, participate in club functions and social events, and the snack bar.

North Shore Schools

It's not surprising that Lake Oswego has some of the top-rated schools in the area. Residents of North Shore are part of the Lake Oswego school district and are assigned to the Forest Hills elementary school, the Lake Oswego middle school, and the Lake Oswego high school. These schools receive top scores, reviews, and ratings from greatschools.org and niche.com.

Review for High School

"Everything that exists in terms of resume building at an elite private school exists at LOHS. If you want your kids to have a broad and deep palette of academic and extracurricular options they can be fully satisfied here. If your kid is a STEM geeky kid, they can build their entire resume around all advanced math and science classes available here plus all the clubs like Robotics. If your child is more artistic, there are endless opportunities to study theater, music and art. There are multiple bands, orchestras and teams that do cheer, dance and other forms of expression. And if your kid wants to be on the same track of preparation they would be on if they attended an elite private school, they can choose from nearly 20 AP classes and take classes at 3 colleges for advanced coursework or summer classes. In addition, Lake Oswego as a city has many volunteering opportunities that will mentor and engage your kids into this thriving community."

North Shore Homes

The entire community encompasses about 200 homesites with sizes anywhere from one-third of an acre to 2 acres. Just out from North Shore is the small Jantzen Island/Diamond Head, which is part of the North Shore community and features just for homes with one small bridge. Many of the homes along the water have boat docks, boat slips, and even boathouses. None of the homes have homeowner association fees and properties were built from the 1940s to 2020. Many lots also have deeded Forest Hills boat and swim easements.

While there are no services or amenities and North Shore Country Club neighborhood, a local Safeway, Kyra's Bakeshop, a Cupcake War 4-Time Winner, and Duke's Public House is just a couple of minutes from most homes along A Ave on the east side of the community. Had a little bit further east and you'll find specialties like Salt & Straw, Dang'sThai Kitchen, the Lake Oswego public library, and other services as well as Whole Foods.
