Welcome to Forest Park

Forest Park is a luxury community in Portland on the northwest edge of the city adjacent to Forest Park itself. The southern portion of the neighborhood lies within the neighborhood boundaries and the rest is adjacent. Most of the neighborhood is in Multnomah County though some sections do include homes within the Portland city limits. Nestled in the center of the massive urban wilderness is a haven for animals and outdoor enthusiasts. There are over 70 miles of trails within Forest Park alone and is perfect for dog walkers, horseback riders, runners, bikers, and hikers. But Forest Park itself is not the only draw to this community. Forest Park is considered the best of Portland's West Hills and forms a natural wonderland along with Hoyt Arboretum and Washington Park. The neighborhood of Northwest Portland covers a large area running along the ridge top above the park all the way to Cornelius Pass Road. It offers some of the city's best hidden and affluent homes and views. Many residents have views to the city all the way to Mount Hood, across the valley to the coastal mountains. With some of the city's best schools and neighborhood amenities, Forest Park is an extremely popular place to call home.

Bordered by Northwest Heights, Nob Hill, and Linnton, Forest Park is an urban neighborhood on the border of downtown just 5 to 10 minutes from the Pearl District, and downtown Portland. Many of the aspects of the park seep its way into the neighborhood boundary so you'll find multiple trees, forested areas, wooded trails, and gorgeous views. There are a total of about 17 nature centers, parks, and trails throughout Forest Park and the neighborhood.

Forest Park Schools

Residents of Forest Park are part of the Beaverton school district and are typically assigned to the Bunny Slope, Forest Park, or Skyline elementary school, Cedar Park or West Sylvan middle school, and Sunset or Lincoln high school.. These are some of the top-rated schools in the Portland area. Private schools are also abundant in the surrounding neighborhoods as well as the Wildwood nature school.

Attractions

Naturally, the main attraction is Forest Park. With over 5000 acres and 80 miles of trails, Forest Park is one of the largest parks in the states. It's home to the Audubon Societies Wildlife Care Center, and nearly every resident is drawn to the outdoor conservation and beautiful nature of the park and the area.

Forest Park is also home to Pittock Mansion, Portland's most notable historic house museum located just beyond the park and neighborhood boundary. And nearly every home has direct or indirect access to the park's trails and activities.

Most of Forest Park is residential but you don't have to travel far for restaurants and shops. Cathedral Park, St. John's Bridge, Homegrown Smoker, Cathedral Coffee, Jamaica House, Taiwan Eats, and other restaurants are no more than about 5 to 10 minutes from most homes in Forest Park.
